What is LOLA?

LOLA is Lions Online Academy, the New Brighton Area School District K-12 Cyber school.  New Brighton is proud to offer cyber options for our students and families since 2004.  As NBASD students, LOLA provides the same variety of services and resources as are available to traditional students.  LOLA students are encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities such as sports, band, musical, Prom, and clubs.  Our goal is to meet the diverse needs of our community in order to prepare our students with the ability to successfully meet future challenges.

At LOLA we believe that students are unique, which is why the program is designed to meet specific needs.  We offer standards based curriculum at grade level to be completed independently with flexible pacing.  Students could have a hybrid schedule which would combine traditional courses in the building with independent online work outside of the school day.  Cyber students may have a full day off campus to work exclusively online.  At graduation, our students receive a New Brighton Area School District diploma.

LOLA classes are taught with our district Pennsylvania-certified and highly qualified teachers.  Support and resources for LOLA students are provided by the LOLA Director, Guidance Counselors, Social Workers and dedicated Administrators.  To learn more about Lions Online Academy, please contact the Director or the Guidance Counselor at each school building.
